SANDEEP RAO, M.D

Vascular & Interventional Radiologist

Dr. Sandeep Rao MD MBA CWSP is triple board certified in Vascular &
Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology and Wound Care. A native
Texan, Dr. Rao received his medical degree from the Texas Tech University of
Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. He initially started his training at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess with the intention of becoming a surgeon. After two years of surgery training, he switched to interventional radiology after realizing the field provides the most minimally invasive alternatives to surgery. He continued his radiology residency training at The Ohio State University. Dr. Rao furthered his education by specializing in Vascular & Interventional Radiology through Fellowship at John Hopkins University. He currently has active medical licenses in nine states with privileges at multiple hospitals.

Dr. Rao is versatile in his knowledge & expertise. He has given research
presentations on pediatric interventions and kidney and liver disease procedures at international radiology conferences. He has authored chapters on Endovascular Robotics and Virtual IR training tools in the Vascular Imaging and Intervention textbook. He has pioneered procedures in endovascular robotics, having performed many first-in-man procedures using remote vascular robotic instruments.

Dr. Rao is active in the Outpatient Endovascular & Interventional Society (OEIS), helping develop the educational curriculum for residents, fellows and early-career physicians. He currently hosts the weekly Medical Hackers program on news radio KTSM AM 690, discussing innovative medical technologies and current healthcare news.

MURTHY CHAMARTHY, M.D

Vascular & Interventional Radiologist Nuclear Medicine

Dr. Chamarthy is a board-certified Interventional Radiologist at Vascular Institute Texas. He specializes in minimally invasive endovascular revascularization for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease.

He received his medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College in 2002 and
completed his residency at Bridgeport Hospital. Chamarthy has been in practice for over 17 years and brings an unmeasurable amount of expertise to Vascular Institute

DREW HUNTER, M.D

Vascular & Interventional Radiologist

Drew Hunter, M.D. is a board certified Vascular/Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist at the Vascular Institute. Dr. Hunter received his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University in 2004 followed by an additional 7 years of post graduate residency and fellowship training including 1 year of surgery at Maricopa County Hospital, 1 year of physical medicine & rehabilitation at University of Chicago and then 4 years of diagnostic radiology at Maricopa County Hospital. He then furthered his education and training with an additional 1 year of fellowship training in Vascular/Interventional Radiology at University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. He completed all of his training in 2011 and has been practicing full time since then where he has primarily been hospital based at local level one trauma centers in the valley.

He is currently credentialed at Dignity Health Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Hospitals as well as Flagstaff Medical Center.

Dr. Hunter is a highly skilled and extremely compassionate physician. He truly cares about his patients and strives for excellence to achieve the best outcome so that they may enjoy a better quality of life. Katherine Lynch AGACNP-C

Katie Lynch is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the Vascular Institue of Phoenix. She received her BSN from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in 2011 and her MSN from Walden University in 2019. She has over 7 years of experience working in the specialty of interventional cardiology, endovascular interventions and interventional radiology. Her goal is to support patients in making the best decisions for their health by providing them with education, empowerment and resources to help them reach their goals.

Gregory Cordes PA-C

Greg Cordes is a board certified and Arizona state licensed Physician Assistant with Vascular Institute. He strives to provide excellent patient care to his patients to make informed decisions about their health.

Cordes’s orthopedics experience is derived from his practice in Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine and Family practice. In these settings he has evaluated and managed a variety of sports and orthopedic related injuries. He has also first assisted in numerous knee and shoulder surgeries as well and the postoperative care of surgical patients.

Cordes has completed a Masters of science and physician assistant studies at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. He has completed an emergency medicine internship and a family medicine internship as well.

Kevin Kerchansky, DC, FNP-C, DACRB

Dr. Kevin Kerchansky focuses his career on functional rehabilitation,
biomechanics and human performance. He is a Board Certified Family Nurse
Practitioner, and is also Board Certified by the American Chiropractic
Rehabilitation Board. Dr. Kerchansky is certified by the American Board of
Independent Medical Examiners, and is frequently hired as an expert to
perform examinations of injured patients.He was born in Columbus, Ohio, and
graduated from The University of Dayton in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Pre-Medicine. He then attended Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating with a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. In 2020 he
graduated from Herzing University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner.

In 2011, Dr. Kerchansky began lecturing nationally on the functional
rehabilitation of injuries. His knowledge of rehabilitation led to speaking
invitations at national symposiums for a variety of professional fields
including chiropractors, physical therapists, attorneys, nurse case managers
and insurance claims departments.

Blessings Fanka DNP, MSN, APRN, AGNP-BC

Dr. Blessings Fanka is a Nurse Practitioner at Vascular Institute. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Lastly, Dr. Blessings received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Texas Woman’s University. She has over fifteen years of experience in the medical field and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered-care.

Stacy Yohannan APRN, FNP – C

Stacy Yohannan is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Holy Family University and committed 15 rewarding years focusing in Vascular specialties. Yohannan also obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with Honors from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Angelina Payne Strickler

PA-C, MMS, MPH

Angelina Payne Strickler became a board certified Physician Assistant in 2017 and has a diverse background specializing in otologic surgery and primary care. She studied epidemiology and received her Masters of Public Health degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2010, and then went on to complete a Masters of Medical Science degree and Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida. More recently, Strickler has begun teaching in the health professions program at Tarrant County College. She hopes to bring her skills from a complex surgical specialty to treating patients in vascular care.
